We met with the surgeon on Tuesday. He went into great details about the thoracotomy he'd perform on our perfect baby girl. For those of you that don't know, a thoracotomy is when they open the chest cavity and spread the ribs to visualize the space.
They will navigate around her heart and her lung as best they can to remove her tumor.
They will sacrifice vessels.
They will place a chest tube
It will be a long, extensive, intricate surgery performed by humans that I can only hope God has blessed their hands. It will be a pain I can not endure for her but will suffer along side her.
Tonight my sweet girl decided to share her journey with her brothers. She told them of her tumor, how it formed, how cells became out of control in her little body and she finished by showing them a mini coke can. You may be thinking to yourself, that's odd, why'd she do that?
That is the size both length and width of her tumor.
Allow that to sink in
